- A file, such as a photo or document, added to an email or message.
- Backup
- A separate copy of important files you can use if the original is lost.
- Bookmark
- A saved link that makes a webpage easy to find again.
- Browser
- The app you use to open websites, such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or Edge.
- Cache
- Temporary copies a device saves so pages or apps can load faster.
- Cloud
- A way of referring to computers run by an online service where your files or other data may be stored.
- Cookie
- A small piece of data a website stores in your browser, often to remember a sign-in or preference.
- Download
- Copy a file from the internet onto your device.
- Email address
- The address people use to send you email, such as name@example.com.
- Link
- Text or a button you click or tap to open another page or file.
- Mobile data
- An internet connection through a phone network rather than Wi‑Fi.
- Password manager
- An app that stores passwords and can create different strong passwords for you.
- Phishing
- A trick that tries to get private information by pretending to be someone trustworthy.
- Prompt
- The words you give an AI tool: a question, instruction, or description.
- Search engine
- A service that finds webpages matching what you type, such as Google or Bing.
- Tab
- One open page inside a browser window.
- Two-step verification
- A second check when signing in, such as a code or approval on your phone.
- Upload
- Send a file from your device to a website or online service.
- URL
- The full address of a webpage, shown in the browser’s address bar.
- Wi‑Fi
- A short-range wireless connection between your device and a nearby router or access point.
